"Archie, Marry Me" - Alvvays

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZAn3JdtSrnY
I had this song stuck in my head for almost three full days after I first listened to it. The band, Alvvays, is fronted by vocalist, Molly Rankin, whose voice tends to remind me of Zooey Deschanel's tranquil vocals in the band She & Him. This song exploits all the dangers and desires of young love and the nontraditional proposal of marriage by a woman to a man. The music video linked to the album artwork is also very unique in its cinematic 80s theme that perfectly captures the vibe of this heartfelt ballad. You'll either be repeatedly singing the contagious melody for the next few days or just wondering if Archie ever made up his damn mind.

"Technicolour Beat" - Oh Wonder

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j9FfYWp_d5w
Prepare to be mesmerized by a contagious melody backed by experimental synthesized chords and two voices that effortlessly meld together to form smooth, rich harmonies. Oh Wonder is a unique, slow-grooving, independent pop duet that self-produced and released their own music from their small independent studio located in South-East London. The duo began releasing their own creations in the early fall of 2014, unveiling a new track every month starting in early September. Twelve months later, they came out with the long anticipated album, "Oh Wonder," along with a wave of success as the album slowly climbed charts of the UK, Canada, and U.S. Billboard. The band is fresh in industry and I hope that they continue success along with the production of more entrancing audio artwork.

"Paris" - Magic Man

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-5s1q7SVs6U
We all get exhausted. But you know when you get so tired that it's almost hard for you to sleep? This is usually when I find some of my favorite music. Normally I skip a song if I find that it's a little too "unique" for my taste, but when I'm drained from a long day I'm too lazy to even pick up my phone and skip a song. This is how I came across an indie band by the name of Magic Man. The song that I've chosen to share is one of my personal favorites. "Paris" is an upbeat and charismatic song with a soothing, electric, synth-pop touch that will really catch your attention. The smooth vocals are unique and gracefully accompanied by a catchy piano melody with a synthesized twist that's sure to leave an impression.

"We Were Here" - BOY

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xYpK0Z95MYg
Another recommendation by my good friend, Victoria Harmon. This is a little pop duo by the name of BOY. There are a few good songs that you may be interested in if you like unique musical colors and textures along with powerful lyrical content. The song "We Were Here" off of their album, We Were Here, is a song that really emphasizes BOY's unique lyrical style and creative use of harmony. You might also like "Into the Wild" as well. They really show their ability to slow everything down and crank out a beautiful ballad with a smooth rhythm and deep meaning. Their music videos also stand apart with a unique live recording style that allows the sounds of nature to be a part of their music. I'll attach a link to the music video for  "Into The Wild" (Acoustic) with the album artwork. Hope you enjoy!
